Saint-Jean Forest Side

Walking, cycling and horse riding

Just a few steps from the ocean, the Saint-Jean-de-Monts national forest spreads across 2,800 hectares of maritime pines and holm oaks. A true haven of freshness, it can be explored at your own pace: on foot, along the many marked trails, by bike, along the cycle paths winding between dunes and undergrowth, or on horseback, for an authentic getaway in the heart of nature.

Let yourself be enchanted by the scent of the pines, the song of the birds, and the light through the branches, the promise of a moment suspended in the heart of a preserved green setting.

Trail and Nordic Walking, an adrenaline rush

For lovers of athletic thrills, the Saint-Jean-de-Monts forest is an ideal playground. Trail enthusiasts will find varied routes, alternating between sandy paths, dune climbs, and wooded passages.

Nordic walking, on the other hand, invites a dynamic and invigorating approach to hiking. Thanks to the poles, the entire body is engaged in a fluid and energizing movement. Between oxygenation and the pleasure of exertion, each stride resonates like an invitation to surpass oneself in the heart of a generous and revitalizing nature.

The Pey de la Blet

The highest point in the Vendée marshes, the Pey de la Blet offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscapes.

After a short climb through the pine forest, the summit reveals an exceptional panorama: on one side, the vast Atlantic Ocean and the golden beaches of Saint-Jean-de-Monts; on the other, the forest stretching as far as the eye can see. In the distance, the islands of Yeu and Noirmoutier can be seen.

A perfect place for a break between heaven and earth, where the wild beauty of the Vendée is revealed in all its splendor.
